I found this at yarnstorm, its from a book…
Update on Feb 22:
Am making it!!! And as my color scheme, I chose Van Gogh’s Portrait of Père Tanguy:
I am currently at the fourth row, considering it is over 6 feet wide (it will go in my bed, a double). I can make 1 row per half hour at the moment, but am confident I will get that down to 20 minutes within the week!!! No pics yet, but I’ll try…
And why VanGogh? I was an art major when I bothered with school (don’t like that much), and Van Gogh, along with Magritte, are my favourite painters. I especially love his bold use of colours (lysergic drugs aside). And since I want this throw to last, I figured I would choose some colours that don’t bore me/repulse me. And that for me is Van Gogh. I chose this specific portrait for the colours, not too dark but not as bright and flashy a combination, and they fit my bedroom, which has three different woods (I like it that way) and hopefully one day soft green paint on the walls, as opposed to the blue currently in residence, leftover from former tenant, which I have absolutely hated since I set foot in this apartment four years ago. Also, we don’t get much sun, so it needs some bright colours for a mood lift.
Hopefully by winter it will be ready, as it hasn’t been very cold around here, so we can use just the throw and sheets.
Update as soon as possible!!
